The goal of this initiative is to offer our authors fairer compensation by increasing the monthly royalties they receive from the sale of their books. Below are the evaluation criteria:

General criteria:

1. Be a registered author on Readiaw
2. Have published at least one exclusive book on our platform
3. Be eligible to participate in the program
4. Have a valid publishing contract with Readiaw

Commercial performance criteria:

1. Sales surplus over 30 days: Authors having achieved a sales surplus of more than 500 copies of all their books on the platform during a period of 30 consecutive days, benefit from an additional 5% in addition to the 75% normal royalties to which they are entitled on all income generated by the sale of their books in the Readiaw library; which therefore amounts to 80% as the overall royalty rate.
2. Consistent surplus performance: Authors who have demonstrated consistent sales surplus performance beyond 500 copies of all their books on the platform over several 30-day periods, for example by maintaining a surplus for three consecutive periods or six months of days will normally continue to benefit from additional 5% royalties.

Reader Engagement and Community Impact:

1. High Reader Engagement Metric: Authors with consistently high reader engagement metrics, such as high average ratings or votes, positive reviews, and active discussions around their books.
2. Community engagement and leadership: Authors who actively engage with the platform's community, participating in forums, discussions, events and demonstrating leadership and mentoring qualities on its social networks to promote the platform.
3. Positive impact on the growth of the platform: Authors who have contributed significantly to the growth and engagement of users of the platform, by attracting new readers from its social and other networks or by increasing its overall sales on the platform to contribute to the achievement of our paradigm-shifting mission (Valuing the creativity of all African writers through the paid reading of stories online).
